
More Than 1,000 St. George’s University Students Secure US Residencies In 2025 Match

More than 1,000 students from the University of St. George ensure US residences in 2025
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of St. George in Granada, Western Indies, announced that more than 1,035 of its students and graduates have secured residences throughout the United States in the 2025 matches cycle.
This marks 11Th Consecutive year in which SGU has Bone the largest supplier of new doctors for American residences of the first year.
“The entire community of the University of St. George congratulates this remarkable class of medical students for their success,” saying Dr. Marios Loukas, Dean of St. George’s University Faculty of Medicine. “This milestone repeats the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and resistance.”
The students and graduates of SGU coincided with residences in 20 specialties in 41 states and the district of Columbia. More students will discover where they will do residence training in the next few days and the coming week. SGU has been a preferred destination for candidates for medical professionals from the Middle East and North Africa, with 336 graduates that contribute to the World Health Work Force. Currently, 104 students from the Mena region are looking for their medical education in SGU, even more strengthening the student community of the University.
The graduates of the University of St. George will begin residence programs in several highly competitive specialties, ranging from neurology and surgery to emergency medicine and pediatrics. Many will return to their origin or cities to begin their careers in medicine.
Commenting on its placement of matches in Port Jefferson, New York, AHMAD ELFAHIM – An SGU graduate from the 2025 classHe said: “I really didn’t expect it. The program was classified as my number two, and the hospital only has a place since it is an integrated interventionist radiology. I was incredulous. Anyway, I am very excited about this opportunity.”

This new group of doctors will play a crucial role to address the shortage of global doctors. SGU graduates have ensured residences in highly competitive specialties such as neurology, vascular surgery, diagnostic radiology and more.
