Belichick had appeared in The CBS Show to promote his next volume, “The art of winning: lessons of my life in football”, a story of many of his experiences of decades of training in the NFL.

Surprisingly, it came dressed in a torn shirt, something that many, including King, found strange and inappropriate for such appearance on television.

In the midst of the consequences of the interview, Belichick defended the actions of his girlfriend and accused the media of removing the book conversation.

In response to Belichick’s claims, a CBS spokesman shared that there was never an agreement with the legendary coach before the interview.

“When we agreed to talk to Mr. Belichick, it was for a broad interview,” said the representative, according to the New York Post. “There were no previous conditions or limitations for this conversation.

They also claimed to have had a conversation with the Belichick editor before the interview and said that such restrictions were not communicated.
