ETRC: Kiss dominates Misano season-opener

Norbert Kiss dominated the first round of the European truck racing championship season

Norbert Kiss made a powerful statement in defense of his crown of the European truck racing championship FIA with a perfect performance in Misano, winning the four races to leave the opening round with 60 points in command.

Despite a problematic start for the weekend, missing the qualification of Saturday a penalty of five seconds because Hahn gave Kiss his first victory of the season.

The Hungarian pilot continued his charge in race 2, starting from the fourth row of the reverse network and taking the front for return six, a position that would control to the checkered flag.

On Sunday, Kiss turned Pole into another dominant victory in race 3, defending Hahn’s early attack before maintaining a comfortable advantage until the end. Although Hahn was consistent over the weekend, with three seconds in second place, his penalty of race 1 and the lack of a victory left 15 points to drift of Kiss in the classification of the championship. The constant actions of Steffi Halm, including two podiums, placed their third in general with 37 points.

The championship will resume with Round 2 in Lausitzring from May 24 to 25, 2025, where the Ostrc de Fia Goodyear will share the bill with DTM, the racing series of the Prime Minister of Germany.
