Hamilton asks Ferrari improvements since the Q2 output follows Sprint P3

Lewis Hamilton says that Ferrari needs to make improvements in his car after leaving the second quarter in the Miami Grand Prix despite a final between the top three in the Sprint.

Both Ferrari drivers qualified among the first seven seven for the Sprint, but Charles Leclerc crashed on the road to the network in wet conditions, while Hamilton was fighting before an early boxes stop early for the slippery tires helped him save an impressive third place. The qualification in the DRY on Saturday afternoon was a different story, with Hamilton eliminated in 12th and Leclerc only eighth, and the seven -time world champion says that the Ferrari is not competitive enough in Miami.

“It was a difficult session, obviously mixed emotions,” Hamilton said. “A good and decent result, but it was a pure rhythm, it was a good decision in the strategy, but at a pure rhythm we did it in the races. I was one of the first here this morning to make sure that we have touched the right steps through.

“Just think it’s good [to score the Sprint result] But pure rhythm … I mean that the Williams described us. Jaime [Vowles] And his team is doing incredible, but pure pace, that’s where we are.

“Charles was lucky to pass [to Q3] With … I think I had a new tire, so that made it happen. I had an additional new tire, so we should have used that.

“Sprint’s career was better [than] Qualifying. But we are where we are. We need some updates, we need some improvements. We have many things that need to be better. “

The teammate Leclerc was also anxious to emphasize that there was no more performance in the car after its qualification result, but Hamilton says that it is not felt better that it is given the distance that the front connects are.

“I don’t feel it in my heart,” he said. “I am trying everything, we are trying everything. The smallest time meant that I was out. If we had left with a new tire, I would probably have bone in the third quarter. And there would simply be … Maybe I will.

“So it does not make a big difference. But the fact is that we are trying and we do not have the rhythm very much at this time.”

With more rain forecast for Sunday that could open opportunities, Hamilton says that such conditions are not necessarily a fortress for Ferrari.

“The car was not good in the law this morning,” he said. “I don’t know what will be tomorrow, we’ll see. I will pray a lot tonight or course. There is a safe opportunity. If it started drying and then something or something, it could, but you would do it
