
Dubai approves major initiatives to enhance quality of life

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, heir prince of Dubai, president of the Executive Council of Dubai and president of the Superior Committee for Development and Affairs of Citizens, presided over the Committee or 2025 and 2025 and initiates of 2025 and projects aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.

Sheikh Hamdan also reviewed the key resolutions of the Committee since his training in May 2022 under the directives of his highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the EAU and ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Hamdan declared that the Committee helped ensure jobs for 33,470 Emirati, around 8,430 in government posts and more than 25,000 in private sector companies.
He also delivered 1,315 housing units, granted 10,131 residential suddenly and tested 8,663 financial and housing subsidies, together with 9,204 housing loans.
In addition, 426 citizens were exempt from housing loans, for a total of AED146m ($ 40 million).

The Dubai wedding initiative has facilitated 545 weddings between 2024 and May 2025, with a projected total of 711 weddings at the end of 2025.
The initiative aims to ensure that Emirati’s couples represent at least 54 percent of weddings in 2025, which increase to 77 percent in 2026. Additional projects include the increase in financial support for low -income groups to AED438M and launch the family financial education program, which participated in 100 participants in their first phase.
In innovative endowments, total disbursements to community development funds reached AED24M, marking an increase of 51.85 percent since 2021.
