
JHAH establishes oncology centre of excellence to address rising cancer rates in GCC

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) has opened a state -of -the -art Oncology Excellence Center in Saudi Arabia, establishing a significant advance in the specialized cancer care for the Gulf Cooperation Council (CCG) region. The Center represent a strategic response to projections that indicate cases of cancer in the GCC will increase by approximately 140% between 2020 and 2040.
Address regional oncology challenges
The new installation combines the experience in recognized international oncology of Johns Hopkins Medicine with the medical Saudi Arabias infrastructure to create a Cancer Integral Treatment Center. The center specializes in three of the most frequent cancers in the CCG region: breast cans, colorectal and prostate.
This development occurs as part of the ongoing collaboration between Aramco and Johns Hopkins Medicine, now intertwining their second decade. The association aims to integrate global best practices with specific medical care solutions regionally adapted to the demography and clinical needs of unique patients of the GCC.
Clinical capabilities and patient -centered approach
The Oncology Excellence Center offers a complete spectrum of cancer service services, which includes early detection programs, precision diagnoses, advanced treatment modalities and survival support. This integral approach establishes a holistic model of attention aligned with international Oncology standards.
The clinical protocols based on evidence of the employment of the installation and the avant -garde technologies were developed through the research and clinical practice of Johns Hopkins Medicine in the United States.
