FanDuel TV’s Shiffman Sees Opportunity for Racing

In December, Michael Shiffman touched the reins as senior vice president and executive producer of Fanduel TV, the racing channel associated with the TVG and Fandanduel Racing’s early deposit betting platforms.

Fanduel TV, which was originally launched as TVG, also sacrifices the programming of sports bets and provides information, probabilities and lines, which are sorry in sports in addition to horse races. At the end of last year, Fanduel TV bought the names of names of 15 regional sports networks of the Main Street Sports Group (formerly Diamond Sports) in 31 states. Blood schedule: What were some of the reasons why you chose to join Fanduel TV?

Michael Shiffman: I was ready for a new challenge in my career, and Jining Fanduel TV sacrificed an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company. SUPPORT: What would be some of the things you would like to achieve in this new role?

EM: We do not do it because to fix what is not broken. (Director of Senior Production) Becky Somerville, (senior producer) Chris Lee and her team have built a large base. The Fanduel TV coverage has evolved over the years to serve our spectators while driving business for our tracks and rider organizations. We have a substantial opportunity to run in front of a smart audience of sports betting while we continue in Mintain and strengthens the legacy of TVG.

SUPPORT: On the racing side, can viewers expect any change, new points of emphasis, new coverage approaches?

EM: We are more committed than ever with horse races and have closely listed our main clients. Fans can expand extended linear coverage with more races than ever. According to the comments, we have already made subtle changes, including the change of coverage of the afternoon to focus exclusively on the races and adjust our probabilities to focus on the races.

SUPPORT: With the appointment of the regional sports networks that are collected by Fanduel’s stations, will there be new ways to promote interest in horse racing through high profile equipment/sports?

EM: Our association with Main Street Sports Group and its RSNS of 15 Fanduel Sports Network is an opportunity to expand to the audience for careers. While we are still in the early stages of our association, we are excited about the future and explore ways in which we can integrate our coverage with these networks.

SUPPORT: We see that the races regularly on Fanduel TV, will it appear in the additional channels of names fanduel?

EM: Horse Racing is in the heart of Fanduel and appears in all our channels and distribution. It appears on our fast Fanduel Extra TV channel and in our OTT Fanduel TV+application. In our nucleus, we are a horse racing channel; That won the change.

SUPPORT: It is sure to say that many people who look at thesis channels have moved in these events. Is it a different approach to reach these spectators, trainers, with information/coverage/stories compared to a spectator who is not committed to the event?

EM: We strive to balance our coverage to involve the trainers and newcomers of horse racing. Our day, our goal is to make sport insightful, accessible and unforgettable.

EM: The commitment of fans and bets are higher when the races are covered on television. FDTV Network offers races a place where racing fans can go see great races every day. From there, they take the next step of having a bet on our betting platforms, which take advantage of the content and disability show on the network. This has a true leg that the TVG network was launched 25 years ago. Our newest channels extend the scope of races, and our goal is to arouse and deepen interest in horsepower connecting new and existing fans with the emotion and stories of sport through these places.

SUPPORT: What could be some things to look for in the near future, especially in relation to racing coverage?

EM: We are dedicated to innovation, defending our reputation of the best coverage of horse racing. With a renewed approach in the convincing narrative, the data, analysis and ideas of surrounding, we are sure to promote a greater commitment.

SUPPORT: Any special plan for this year’s triple Crown coverage?

EM: We are delighted from our association with Churchill Downs and Kentucky Derby, having contributed to recent years and the management of records this year. This year, we offered comprehensive coverage that led to Derby, including a new 90 -minute breakfast program with the latest news of the contender and live races in Oaks and Derby Day.
