Hamas applauds Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions ‘decision to boycott Israel – Middle East Monitor

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, praised the decision of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) to boycott the Zionist occupation and prohibit trade and investment with its companies. The movement described the decision as a brave step that embodies a clear alignment with truth and justice, and advocates the rights of the Palestinian people.

In a press statement received by Quds Press On Friday, the movement asked the labor unions and the unions worldwide to adopt this moral position and continue to press the pressure using all the warning means to isolate the fascist entity and expose their against humanity.

The union unanimously voted his general conference on Friday to adopt a resolution that asks for a boycott to Israel and its products.

Steinar Krogstad, vice president of the Confederation, said last Tuesday: “We want the fund to retire from companies that have activities in the occupied Palestinian territory.”

He added that the general policy of the Sovereign Fund of Norwegian wealth, the largest in the world, is not to invest in companies that violate international law.

It is the largest Confederation of Trade Unions in Norway and is aligned with the ruler Labor Party. Its influence extends beyond the traditional problems of labor rights.
