
PA president to call for disarmament of Palestine resistance groups in Lebanon during upcoming visit, sources say – Middle East Monitor

According to the reports, the Palestinian authority (PA) and the Government of Lebanon will announce the demilitaries and disarmament or the Palestinian factions through Lebanon, in the midst of a revived effort to stop attacks in northern Israel.
In accordance with the media with headquarters in London Middle East Eyewho cited Palestinian and Lebanese sources unidentified, the president of the AP, Mahmoud Abbas, will visit Lebanon on May 19 for an official trip, in which he will meet with Lebanese president Joseph Aoun and other senior officials.
As part of the meetings, Abbas and the Lebanese Government will request the screaming of all the armed Palestinian factions within the Lebanon, including the Lebanese branch of their own Fatah party, along with features based in the refugee country.

The presence of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon dates back to decades to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians by the Israeli occupation forces of 1948 Nakba. Successive Lebanese governments and generations have followed the marginalization of the Palestinians in Lebanon, which led many to join armed Palestinian resistance groups throughout the decades.
To implement the reported movement, according to a Palestinian source, Abbas aims to form a security committee to supervise and establish a calendar for the disarmament process, in which he agreed to eliminate Fatah weapons from the refugee spring.
However, if the varied Palestinian groups and features refuse to deliver their arms, according to reports, they will be subject to a Lebanese military operation that will disarm them strongly.
The informed plans would arrive week after the Superior Defense Council of Lebanon warned the Palestinian resistance group based in Gaza, Hamas, Hamas against the launch of attacks against Israel from the Lebanese territory, threatening it with “IT DOESS” IFT.
