Russia fully supports Egypt’s plan to rebuild Gaza, the Moscow ambassador to Egypt, Georgiy Borisenko, has said, expressing that Western countries have obstructed the Russian proposals in the UN Security Council aimed at finishing the war.
In comments to additional news, Borisenko declared that Russia and Egypt are in close coordination within the United Nations. “We are known as related ideas due to our shared positions on many issues,” he said, pointing out the situation in the Middle East as a clear example of his alignment.
He stressed that Russia “supports and values all the efforts of Egypt fully to end the conflict in Gaza and believes that hostilities must come to an end as soon as possible.
Borisenko also pointed out that Moscow supports the reconstruction plan of Egypt for Gaza, which has a recognizing support from all member states of the Arab League.

In addition, he mentioned that Egypt and Russia are working together to develop an international agreement on the combination of cyber crimes within the UN framework. He pointed out that both countries are leading taxpayers to write the Convention, which is expected to sign for most countries this year.
The ambassador affirmed that Russia was one of the first countries to recognize the Independent Palestinian State in 1988 and reiterated the long -standing support of Moscow to the Palestinian cause. “We have always affirmed that the Palestinians must have a sovereign and independent state that lives in peace with Israel,” he added.
Borisenko stressed that Russia was the first member of the Security Council to present the resolution project that demanded the end of the war in Gaza, thought that many were blocked by the Western powers.
He concluded emphasizing that Moscow continues to exercise maximum effort, in coordination with the UN Arab countries, to help address terrible conditions in Gaza. He described the situation as “millions of women and children trapped, suffering from hunger and daily bombing” and insisted that “all these tragedies must stop immediately.”
