Washington does not need the Tel Aviv approach to take measures aimed at the prevention of Huti attacks against US vessels and sign an agreement with the group in Yemen, ambassador of the United States in Israel, Mike Huckabee, said yesterday.
In an interview with the Israeli Broadcasts Channel 12, Huckabee declared: “The United States is not obliged to get Israel’s permission to make some kind of arrangement that causes the hutis to shoot our ships.”
He added that, after consulting with the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and vice president JD Vance, understood that Washington’s actions in response to Hutis attacks against Israel would be pendulent of whether any American citizen had been harmed.
“There are 700,000 Americans living in Israel,” Huckabee continued. “If the Hutis are because of continuous actions to Israel and hurt an American, then it becomes our business.”
The comments of the ambassador follow the reports of the Israeli media that President Trump decided to reduce communications with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the midst of suspicion that Netanyahu is trying to manipulate him.
