Adani Abruptly Terminates DragonPass Lounge Access Deal

Adani Airport Holdings Limited has abruptly pretended its association with DragonPass, an accessor of the global airport hall with headquarters in China, just one week after announcing collaboration. The termination, immediately, means that DragonPass customers will no longer have access to halls at Airports administered by Adani. The company said that the travel experiences of other clients will not be affected.

The Association, announced on May 8, 2025, was facilitated by Adani Digital Labs, a digital extension of AAHL and Adani Enterprises Ltd. granted access to Dragonass to all the halls of Adani airport and key halls throughout India. Dragonpass, based in Guangzhou, China, Opera International with offices in Asia and the United Kingdom. Its United Kingdom branch, Dragonass International Limited, is a subsidiary of absolute property of the Chinese parent company.

The decision to end the association was taken quickly, they thought that no more details have been revealed about the reasons behind the abrupt termination. This rapid movement highlights a sudden change in Adani’s strategic alliances with respect to airport services offers.

Currently, Adani operates seven airports throughout India, including those of Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram, and is developing a new airport in Navi Mumbai. The termination of the DragonPass association means a strategic change in the service operations of Adani airport.

In 2024, Adani Airport Holdings Ltd faced interruptions in access to the living room at the airports throughout India due to the suspension of services by Dreamfolks Services Ltd. to mitigate the impact on passengers, AAHL allowed the halls at Adani operated airports to accept all the main debit and credit cards of other access providers. The salon access provider, which is associated with several banks, violated its service agreements with affected airports.

Adani Group has also been exploring associations to improve its Airport Lounge services. The company is in conversations with Plaza Premium Group, based in Hong Kong, to direct airport halls in India through a joint business, with the aim of raising hospitality standards. Premium Group Square has an international footprint in 80 airports in 30 countries.

Adani One and Icici Bank launched the first shared brand credit cards in India with Airport-Link benefits in visa collaboration. Available in two variants: the Adani One Icici Bank’s firm’s credit card and the Adani One icici Bank Platinum credit card: cards sacrifice a substantial reward program. Cardholters earn up to 7% of Adani reward points in purchases within the Adani group ecosystem, including reserves in the Adani One application, Airports administered by Adani, CNC pumps, electricity bills and the Trainman platform. The benefits include free air tickets, premium room access, Pranaam, Valet parking and discounts in tax free stores and airport drinks and drinks.
