Dubai-born golfer Rayhan Thomas has officially earned a spot on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2025, following an impressive showing at the Final Stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School presented by Korn Ferry in Florida.
The 26-year-old, who recently turned professional after graduating from Oklahoma State University, posted rounds of 70, 72, 71, and 68. As a result, he finished at one-over-par in a tie for 26th place.
Consistency Across Two Elite Florida Courses
Throughout the event, players competed across two prestigious venues — Sawgrass Country Club and TPC Sawgrass, Dye’s Valley. Despite tough conditions, Thomas remained consistent. In fact, he saved his best for last, carding a final-round 68 to climb the leaderboard.
“Today was my best round of the week. I played really solid,” said Thomas. “It was a steady round overall. I stayed composed, didn’t feel much pressure, and really enjoyed the experience.”
Consequently, his performance secured him at least 12 guaranteed starts on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour — the primary path to the PGA Tour.
Looking Ahead to the 2025 Season
Now that he has earned tour status, Thomas plans to return to Dubai to enjoy the holiday season with family and friends. Afterward, he will head back to the United States in January to kick off his Korn Ferry Tour campaign.
“I’m so excited for what lies ahead,” he said. “This gives me a strong foundation for my first full professional season. I’m pleased with how the week unfolded and can’t wait to get started.”
PGA Tour Card for Griffin
Meanwhile, Lanto Griffin stole the spotlight by shooting a final-round 63 at Dye’s Valley. As a result, he claimed medalist honors and finished three strokes clear of the field. His win earned him one of six PGA Tour cards awarded at Q-School.
