
InvestHK showcases Hong Kong as Asia’s gateway during Cairo visit

Hong Kong Sar-Media Outreach Newswire-17, 2025-INVEST Hong Kong (Invest), the investment promotion arm of the Hong Kong government, announced today (May 17, 2025) that Alpha Lau, General Director for the Promotion of Investment in Research Opportunities, Visited Cairo, Invest. Duration in her visit, Mrs. Lau will attend the Conference on Economic and Economic Cooperation of the Macao de Macao Greater Bay (Cairo) area on May 19.

In 2024, the department has opened a new office in Cairo, Egypt, to improve its effort to attract companies in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region to establish or expand its businesses in Hong Kong.
In 2024, Hong Kong and Egypt enjoyed a vibrant commercial relationship, with the trade of bilateral goods that reach the HK $ 2.1 billion (US $ 0.3 billion), an increase of 5.4% of 2023. This increasing economic connection collaborated.
Hong Kong’s investment environment
