Lawyers denounce ‘fabricated’ Tunisia trial of opposition

Tunisia: lawyers and family denounced on Monday the handles transmitted to the numbers of the Tunisian opposition in the mass trial of last week as “manufactured” and “unfounded”, and said they will attract. A court in Tunisia in the early hours of Saturday issued prison terms up to 66 years to about 40 defendants, including the vocal critics of President Kais Saied. They were accused of “conspiracy against state security” and “belonging to a terrorist group”, among other positions, according to their lawyers.
