Saudi defense minister meets with Iranian leadership during official visit

Riyadh: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in association with the Ministry of Health announced the beginning of the first phase of Saudization in the health sector.

Saudation fees will increase four key medical care professions of the private sector as or on April 17, 2025 in line with the approved professional titles, MHRSD said in a series of publications in X.

The first phase is aimed at specific Saudation percentages: 65 percent for radiology, 80 percent for clinical nutrition, the same for physiotherapy and 70 percent for medical laboratories, he added.

The stipulated minimum monthly salaries are SR7,000 for specialists and SR5000 for technicians in these roles.

The decision, according to the MHRSD, is aligned with the ongoing efforts of each ministry to improve the participation of national talent in the labor market and to provide opportunities for productive and lucrative work for Saudi citizens, while simultaneously saline from labor work.

“It is a constant step to empower national competencies in medical care professions, invest in their abilities and skills to develop their future professionals and improve their opportunities in the private sector,” said the MHRSD.

The initial implementation covers all establishments, regardless of their size, in the main cities-Riat, Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, Dammam and Al-Khobar.

Large and mega -size companies in other regions of the kingdom are also included in this first phase.

The second phase of implementation, which will cover the removal establishments through the kingdom, is scheduled to begin on October 17, 2025.

Integral procedure guidelines that describe the decision and mandatory Saudization rates are available on the MHRSD official website.

Companies that do not comply with Saudi location quotas are subject to fines. The MHRSD urged all relevant establishments to comply with thesis regulations to avoid sanctions.

Thanking the decision, Abdullah Ahmed, a Riad physiotherapist, said: “It is a good decision for Saudi graduates in this sector and aligns with the kingdom’s efforts to make more employment opportunities available to nationals in the private sector.”

In March 2024, the MHRSD and the Ministry of Health began to implement a mandatory location rate of 35 percent in dental professions. They also applied location relations to private sector establishments that employ three or more workers in dental professions.
