
Saudi fund celebrates cultural innovation at Storytellers event

RIAD: The fifth national campaign for charity, organized on the EHSAN DURATION RAMADAN platform, continues to attract donations, focus on mosque improvements and worship services.
The campaign has financed more than 3000 Umrah trips, built five mosques, maintains 46 and has provided essential resources for 12, the Saudi press agency reported Sunday.
Donations can be done through EHSAN.SA or the donor service center in 8001247000, added the spa.
Ehsan has also begun to accept donations from Zakat al-Fitr digitally to guarantee the distribution immediately to eligible receptors throughout the kingdom.
This follows the approved charitable methods of the Ehsan Shariah Committee, chaired by the Royal Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mutlaq Court advisor, a member of the Senior Academic Council.
Donors can pay Zakat Al-Fitr through the application or EHSAN website, specifying the administrative region and the number of recipients. This is done in coordination with the relevant authorities in all regions.
As part of the Fifth National Campaign for Charity, the distribution of Zakat Al-Fitr aims to train the duration of the community this season of giving and fulfilling religious obligations, according to the SPA.
Supporting charity initiatives, King Salman donated Sr40 million ($ 10.6 million), while heir prince Mohammed Bin Salman contributed Sr30 million for the fifth campaign. Until now, total donations have exceeded Sr1 billion.
This achievement reflects the commitment of Saudi society with unity, solidarity and duration of Ramadan compassion. Contributions come from individuals, companies, institutions and philanthropists.
The 2024 campaign has raised more than SR1.8 billion to 15 million transactions, which reinforces the leadership of the kingdom in charitable work and sustainable development.
