Syria president hosts Republican US congressman in Damascus

Damascus: Syrian president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has an American congressman, Syria’s first visit said on Saturday, the first visit of an American legislator since the overthrow of ruler Bashar Assad. Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani was also present at the meeting with Republican Cory Mills at the Presidential Palace in Damascus, said a presidency statement. Mills arrived in Syria on Friday along with Marlin Stutzman, another politician of the Republican Party of the president of the United States, Donald Trump.
