Xiaomi Gears Up to Launch YU7 SUV in Beijing

Xiaomi will present its opening electric SUV, the Yu7, at a launch event in Beijing on May 22, marking the company’s 15th anniversary. The event, scheduled for the local time of the 7 PM, will also have the debut of the first internal mobile processor of Xiaomi, the Xrring 01, together with the 15S Pro smartphone and the 7 Ultra Tablet.

The YU7 represent the second Xiaomi incursion into the electric vehicle market, after the SU7 sedan. Designed to compete with established models such as the model and Tesla, the YU7 is based on the Xiaomi Modena platform and offers a rear -wheel drive and total traction configuration. The vehicle measures 4,999 mm long, 1,996 mm wide and 1,600 mm high, with a wheelbase or 3,000 mm.

Performance specifications indicate that YU7 will be available in multiple ornaments. The rear -wheel drive variant is powered by a single 235 kW engine, while the total traction version combines a 220 kW front engine with a 288 kW rear engine, which offers a total exit of 508 kW. The maximum speed for the high performance model is informed at 253 km/h.

The battery options include a 96.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate package supplied by Findreams and a nickel cobalt pack of 101.7 kWh of catl. Depending on the configuration, the YU7 sacrifices a CLTC range between 670 km and 835 km. The vehicle admits the CC CC and CC load standards and has an adaptive air suspension, with wheel options ranging from 19 to 21 inches.

The interior characteristics are expected to include a panoramic solar roof with triple layer silver coating, which provides UV protection of 99.9% and 97.6% thermal insulation. The cabin is designed to accommodate five passengers comfortably, with an approach to the integration of Xiaomi Hyperos for perfect connectivity between the devices.
