Hidden in the heart of reading, Roseate Reading is a surprisingly beautiful boutique hotel located inside a building in grade II that was once the Shire Hall. Known for its opulent decoration, the great spiral staircase and a perfect combination of classical architecture with modern luxury, the hotel is just a short walk of the historical ruins of Abbey and the vibrant center of the city.

The welcome
I arrived at Reading by train and walked the short distance from the station to the hotel where they welcomed me at the reception. Check-in’s process was fast and efficient, and I was entering my room on the second floor, a matter of minutes.

The room
I stayed in room 27, a premium suite of the house located inside the Roseate building, recognized for its traditional design and also hosting the reception and the restaurant.

The suite exuded a classic refinement air, complete with King-Size bed, adorned with a large number of pillows, cushions and a sumptuous launch, everything that is combined to give an incomparable comfort of comfort. And the bed was more than was up to his expectations to provide me with a calm and calm dream every night.

A luxurious sofa at the foot of the bed could have easily attracted me in moments of relaxation. I don’t have much work to do.

The suite also presented a separate Double Purphona work space/space, and tight cabinets that hid reflexive services, such as a safe, hair dryer, ironing table and iron, a mini refrigerator and milk, and milk and milk.
The bathroom
Entering the bathroom felt almost like entering its own private mining spa sanctuary. The space had a large and deep bath for indulgent sooths, complemented by a separate shower, basin and WC.

To complement the experience was the fragrant Blenheim Bouquet Range Tocho Stretries of Pennenigon.

Everything you need to plan your trip in 2025
The facilities
Culinary excellence is a distinctive stamp of Roseate reading, personified by the reading room, where both breakfast and dinner are served.
My dinner begged with a fun local cauliflower bouche with almonds and caviar, a delicate introduction to make fun of the palate.

To begin with, Orkney, Artful, combined with slowly cooked pork bacon, sweet corn, ink tap, apple Granny Smith and an emulsion of curry oil, exhibited the provocation of the executive chef Rajesh Maharjan to balance several ingredients.

My abundant main dish presented Halibut de Cornualles, perfectly roasted and accompanied by a wonderful pumpkin of sweet meat, as well as chickpeas, roasted pepper, roasted almonds, vegetables and a caviar sauce.

The dessert was a revelation: Brûlée pistachio combined with pistachio ice cream, strawberry consommé, raspberries and a striking pistachio coral, to put the final touch an impeccable meal.

Duration of my stay, I could also experience a tea in the theme afternoon that was fine for a meeting of tourism industry professionals. Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of Jane Austen’s Birth, The Hotel presented a selection of sandwiches and inspirate desserts, with the aesthetic standout being the imaginative plum delice, artfullly craft to reset an ink pot and quill – was famy, was famy, wamy to the literary, wamy to the Literary, Who to Famy’s Herself, Wamy To The Literary, Wamy To The Literary, Wamy To The Literary, Wamy To The Literary, Wamy To The Literary, Wamy To The Literary or Wamyy’s Famy, who to the literary legacy, the Famyy or Wamy of Wamy? Ciudad in addition to attending the boarding school very close to the pink.

For those looking for rejuvenation, the Hotel Spa facilities on the upper floor offer a variety of treatments designed to calm and revitalize, where guests can enjoy speech therapies adapted to their needs.

The location
Strategically positioned, Roseate reading serves as an ideal basis to explore the myriad of attractions found in reading. On the back of the corner is the historic town hall, home of a remarkable Victorian replica 70 meters long from the bayeux tapestry.

The connection already mentioned with Jane Austen adds a literary charm, especially this year of the 250th anniversary. A brief walk from the hotel leads to the lands of the Abbey, where, if you are lucky enough to get access to a special tour, you can visit a classroom at Abbey’s entrance door where Austen studied, a pilgrimage for the endusids Keene to the Ertvalsive years.

For leisure and well -being visitors to reading, Thames Lido, with its Eduardian facade of the 1920s, is a space that becomes at birth, but in history, where an outdoor swimming experience remembers a past era.

Not only that, but Reading’s position along the Great West Way, a route that extends from London to Bristol, makes it a convenient stop for travelers who explore some of the most emblematic reference points in England.
Other beautiful touches
Roseate’s reading made a series of reflexive gestures. For example, when I entered my room, I received a plaque adorned with chocolates and macaroni, with “Welcome to Roseate” with chocolate elegance.

The room reading material incudiated Harrods and Sybarite magazine.

It was also a pleasant surprise that, dinner, the chef made a personal application to meet with me, and toy time outside its busy kitchen schedule to have a quick conversation.
The cost
The premium suite of the house, like the one I stayed, usually begins from £ 235 per night. Taking into account the level of comfort and primary location, this exceptional value to re -restrain for those who seek an indulgent pleasure.
The best bit
While each facet of pink reading excellence, the quality of the accessories and accessories of my suite and the culinary experience in the reading room stood out deprived.
The final verdict
Few places manage to balance historical architecture with contemporary comfort as efforts as Roseate’s reading. The intricate attention to detail, from the beautifully designated suites to the art of the kitchen, creates a stay that feels deeply personal. The greatness of the building speaks for itself, while the food rivals with several of the best establishments in London.
