UAE weather: Red alert issued for fog; fair to partly cloudy day ahead

A red alert has been issued for fog formation, and a drop in horizontal visibility, active till 9am today.

The visibility may drop even further at times in some coastal areas, particularly towards the north, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

It is set to be a fair day in general on Friday, April 11, but there could be partly cloudy skies at times, according to the weather forecast.

The met department also said that low clouds could appear eastward. There will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, with a speed of between 10kmph and 25kmph, reaching 35kmph.

The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
