UAE weather: Temperatures to hit 47ºC in some areas; fair skies expected

Residents in the UAE on Saturday, April 12, can expect an increase in temperature especially in the islands and coastal areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Temperatures in Abu Dhabi are likely to see a high of 42°C and a low of 25°C, while in Dubai, it will be 40°C with a low of 24°C. This increase in temperature is expected as the country transitions into the summer.

Generally, the weather conditions in the country will be fair which could get partly cloudy at times. The met department added that low clouds could appear eastward.

There will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, which could get freshening at times. These winds will be gentle with a speed of between10kmph and 20kmph, and may reach up to 30kmph.

The weather department noted that sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea. There will be light waves in the Arabian Gulf and high tide will occur at 1.02pm and 1.24am on Sunday, April 13. Low tide will occur at 7pm and 7.29am, on Sunday, April 13.

There will be light waves in the Oman Sea with high tide occurring at 9.52am and 9.28pm. Low tide will occur at 3.41pm and 3.58am on Sunday, April 13.
