London: A group of parliamentarians in the United Kingdom has asked the Government to initiate an Iraq War Style investigation into the role of Great Britain in the Gaza conflict, Sky News reported Wednesday.
The 37 parliamentarians include 10 of the Government Labor Party, who signed a letter to Prime Minister Keir Starmer written by Jeremy Corbyn, the former party leader.
Corbyn demanded a “comprehensive investigation with legal power to establish the truth” about war, which has killed more than 50,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
Follow Israel denying the entrance and deporting two job parliamentarians who had traveled there as part of a parliamentary delegation.
Abbtisam Mohamed and Yuan Yang intended to visit humanitarian aid projects in the West Bank.
Foreign Secretary David Lammy described Israel’s decision as “involuntary” and “no way of treating British parliamentarians.”
The parliamentarians of the Scottish National Party, Plaid Cymru and Sinn Fein also signed the Corbyn Chart, as well as the members of the House of Lores.
He said that he has constantly followed answers on the continuous sale of Great Britain of reaction components F-35 to Israel, the use of British military bases in war and the legal definition of genocide, but has bone, obstruction and silence. “
The government is “leaving the public in the dark about the ways in which government responsibilities have been unpleasant,” Corbyn added.
He warned that the story runs the risk of “repeating Itelf”, drawing parallel to the United Kingdom’s decision to invade Iraq based on “intelligence and defective evaluations.”
This evaluation was found by the Chilcot report in the Iraq War, published in 2016 after numerous delays.
An investigation into the ties of the United Kingdom with the Gaza War “The shoulder establishes exactly what decisions they have tasks, how these decisions have made the leg and what consequences they have,” said Corbyn.
“Any significant investigation would require the full cooperation of government ministers involved in the promises of decision -making since October 2023,” he added.
“Many people believe that the government has decisions of tasks that have involved officials in the most serious infractions of international law.
“These positions will not disappear until there is a comprehensive, public and independent investigation with the legal power to establish the truth.”
