Struggle
- At least three people died in a Russian bombing of Kharkiv in Ukraine, said an official in the region.

At least 16 people were injured in Ukrainian unmanned aircraft attacks in the Belgorod region, said the governor of the Russian region of the Southwest.

Among the injured there was a doctor and a paramedic, said Belgorod Vyacheslav Gladkov governor in the telegram messaging application. Eight people were admitted to the hospital, he added.
- Russia’s Air Defense Units destroyed 12 Ukrainian drones during the night, according to Russian news agencies.
High fire conversations
- President Volodyymyr Zenskyy said he would travel to Turkiye this week for negotiations with Russia about the war in Ukraine and urged President Vladimir Putin to meet him for face -to -face conversations.
- Zenskyy called the American counterpart Donald Trump to help ensure a meeting with Vladimir Putin in Turkiye on Thursday, while accusing the Russian leader of not seriously wanting to end the war.
- Zenskyy also said he hopes to attend the inaugural mass of Pope Leo XIV on Sunday, depending on the developments in conversations with Russia this week.
- Trump said the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, would participate in conversations about the Ukraine War in Turkiye, saying he expects “some quite good results.” A state department official said Rubio was expected on Friday in Istanbul.
