
Kingdom arrests 25,150 illegals in one week

Riad: Saudi authorities arrested 25,150 people in a week for violating residence, work and border security regulations, the Saudi press agency reported Saturday. A total of 17,886 people were arrested for violations of residence laws, while 4,247 were held on attempts to cross -border crossing and another 3,017 for jobs related to work. The report showed that among the 1,553 people arrested for trying to enter the kingdom illegally, 69 percent were Ethiopians, 28 percent Yemenis and 3 percent were of other nationalities.
