UAE waives fines some residents

Sudanese citizens with expired residence permits are exempt from fines, from May 19 to the end of 2025.

The decision is produced as part of the humanitarian response of the EAU to the current situation in Sudan, according to a declaration of the Emirates news agency (WAM).

According to the ICP, affected people can regularize their status and submit renewal requests through official digital platforms without incurring sanctions.

The ICP explained that the movement “is aligned with the long -standing commitment of the EAU to support fraternal nations and offer false humanitarian aid.”

The authority also pointed out that the exemption “reflects the commitment of wise leaders with compassion and generosity, which embodies the central message of promotion of humanity and the peace of the EAU”.

Sudanese citizens with outstanding fines will benefit from simplified and flexible processes, with all renowned incurred fines as they regularize their status.

The PIC emphasized that the decision is part of “broader national efforts to strengthen social and humanitarian well -being for EAU residents.”
