A shared video of Grant, Nebraska, shows a huge wall of dust that is approaching the city while the severe weather advanced through the region on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
GRANT, NEB. – A fascinating scene took place on Wednesday in Nebraska while a large wall of dust was quickly formed on a field.
The view seemed to stretch in Endes in Grant, Nebraska. James Vak’s video images showed the size of the dust storm.
The National Meteorological Service initially warned of wind bursts that reach up to 70 mph, which helped form this huge cloud of dust throughout the dry landscape.
According to the NWS, a dust storm can spread by miles, but usual only lasts a few minutes. It is not recommended to drive in a dust storm if you can avoid it because visibility is drastically reduced.
