
ETRC: Kiss strengthens title lead at Lausitzring

Norbert Kiss extended its advantage of the European Truck Race Champion
Debuting in the FIA Ostrc calendar, Lausitzring organized the first of the two German rounds scheduled in the eight -events calendar this year and delivered a dramatic mixture of action and wear. The weekend began with the local Jochen Hahn claiming pole in qualification 1, surpassing Kiss and increasing the hope of challenging the dominance of the beginning of the Hungarian season.
However, Kiss quickly racked his authority. Hey, surpassed Hahn at the beginning of race 1 to obtain a dominant victory and followed him with a victory of lights to the pole in race 3.
Hahn, who is still looking for his first victory or 2025, remained the closest challenger of Kiss. He finished second in both Hungarian victories, while his qualification form shows that he is still a serious contender.
René Reinert, who returned to his series of his series, delivered the outstanding performance of the weekend in race 2, charging from the fifth place in the reverse grid to claim his first victory of the year. A decisive movement in Mark Taylor in the middle of the race assured the advantage, which Het supported the flag to delight its local crowd.
Halm was once again a consistency model, taking two podiums and defending the late pressure in race 3.
Sascha Lenz, José Eduardo Rodrigues and Albacete were regular customers in the battles of the center of the field, with Lenz taking a podium of race 2. Taylor again impressed with a strong rhythm and a race despite focusing mainly on the honors of the Chrome class.
Race 4 was canceled after an incident of the previous support series that left the oil in the circuit. After the inspection and in the midst of the challenging climatic conditions, the director of the FIA race considered insecure and canceled the final contest of the weekend.
With two completed rounds, KISS leads the classification at 105 points, ahead of Hahn in 81 and Halm completed the first three with 65 points in his name.
The championship resumes with Round 3 in the Slovakia ring from June 7 to 8.
