Sharjah, EAU – The College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) of the American University of Sharjah (AUS) presented its highly anticipated annual graduation exhibition, Six degreesOn Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (Srtip). His excellence Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan al Qasimi, president of Aus, attended the opening and inaugurated the official exhibition
Six degrees Postgraduate showcase
In its 15th year, the exhibition gathered the work of graduating students in the various CAAD degree programs: architecture, interior design, design management, multimedia design, visual communication and urban planning. The opening ceremony was open to the public and served as an important platform to connect Caad’s emerging talent with representatives of the EAU design professionals.
“For each student, Six degrees Repeat the culmination of four or five years of rigorous practice of study, creative exploration and growth. Sacrify our community a moment of celebration, reflection and pride, “said Dr. Varkki Pallathucheril, Dean of Caad. I feel lucky to have witnessed so many generations of Caad graduates by launching their professional trips through this platform.”

The event also included the annual CAAD awards ceremony. This year, 28 outstanding students and teachers were recognized for their exceptional academic performance, creative achievements, leadership and service to the university community.
“Six degrees It has always been more than a simple showcase, it is a celebration of the transformation. However, year after year, it captures the evolution of creativity, courage to challenge the convention and the design spirit that defines Caad. Back to the program is a reminder of energy and the image that first gave me a student and now feeds my work as a professional, ”said Caad Tala’s student to the Nounou.

AU residence artist showcase
This year Six degrees Showcase was accompanied by Najat Makki, residence artist, 2024–25, A special exhibition of selected works of the pioneer Visual Artist Emiratí Dr. Najat Makki, developed that changed his residence in Aus. Dr. Makki’s exhibited works explore transitions in time and place through color, ornamentation and layer abstraction, offering a deeply personal but universally resonant reflection on memory, heritage and modernity.
Dr. Makki’s residence in Aus was part of a broader vision defended by his excellence Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan al Qasimi, president of Aus, to position creative practice as a central pillar or an academic life.
