The two -time Olympic champion and president of World Athletics, Lord Coe, to become Gems School of Research and Innovation, Special Innovation Advisor

Lord Sebastian Coe, twice Olympic gold medalist and president of World Athletics, has been appointed special sports advisor at the Gems Research and Innovation School (SRI), the innovative new flagship school in Dubai this August.

Lord COE will bring its rapid global experience in elite sport, performance, youthful development and well -being to support SRI’s bold vision of a school that educates the whole child: intellectual, emotionally and physically.

With a 400 m track, an Olympic 50 m pool, an elevated soccer field of the standard FIFA and a world -class gym among its outstanding facilities, SRI is establishing new standards for which a future oriented school can take out.

As a special sports advisor, Lord Coe works with the Senior Leadership team of the school to ensure that excellence in physical education and well -being is completely integrated into the learning experience, supporting students to generate trust, results from health.
