
Special Olympics UAE’s Unified Robotics League crowns winners of its largest finals ever

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – June 12, 2025: The fourth and largest edition of the Unified Robotics League concluded today at Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi, establishing a reference point for inclusive voice education in the EAU. Organized annually by the EAU of Special Olympics and with the support of ADNOC as a strategic partner, the National League welcomed more than 1,600 participants throughout the country, including 1,200 who competed in today’s finals.
This year’s edition saw a record participation of 165 schools, with 202 unified teams that compete in classification rounds held in the EAU to win a place in the national finals, marking an increase of 109% compared to last year. This increase reflects the growing role in the advancement of inclusive education and skills ready for the future. More than 600 determination students, from grade 1 to grade 12, joined their classmates to complete robotics and coding challenges adapted to two age categories: 8-11 and 12 and more.
His excellence Talal al Hashemi, national director of the EAU of special Olympics, said that the finals were a powerful reflection of the country’s commitment to inclusive education and focused on the future.

Each unified team included a minimum of 50% of determination students, who worked next to their classmates to complete tasks in programming, AI and robotics, reflecting the mission of the EAU of special Olympics to promote significant inclusion.

To support the teams before the finals, the EAU of Special Olympics also organized dedicated training workshops for coaches at Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
