
Oaklawn Ends Its 2024-25 Season On High Note

Oaklawn concluded its live race season 2024–25 on May 3 with strong numbers in all areas, highlighted by competitive races, record setting and key milestones.
Oaklawn made 621 races during the season, distributing $ 56,007,000 in wallets, for a daily average or $ 903,338. With an average of 10 races per day, Oaklawn offered strong and competitive races averaging 9.32 holders per race for fans to enjoy them.
The average daily mango reached $ 6,737,332, generating a total handle of a $ 417,714,571 meeting.
The participation remained strong, with 2,030 individual horses that made at least one start, which contributed to 5,788 total openings. Eighty riders and 186 coaches competed in Oaklawn this season.

“It’s amazing what we achieved this season,” said Wayne Smith, general manager of Oaklawn. “Just after losing four Saturdays to the weather, we finish only 10 races less than last year. That son of resilience shows the passion of our riders, the dedication of our team and the unwavering support of our fans. It was really something special.”
2024–2025 seasonal leaders
Steve Asmussen and the athletics of the final zone (Karl Broberg) tied in the main title of the owner with 14 victories each. DJ Stable, St. Elias Stable, West Point Thoroughbreds and CJ Stables led all owners in bag profits with $ 1,168,000.
Asmussen, a coach of the Hall of Fame, said his 14th Oaklawn training title, won, winning 46 races and obtained $ 5,497,570.
Francisco Arrieta won his second title to ride Oaklawn, and first directly, with 65 races and winning $ 5.081,352.
A record of 13 coaches won more than $ 1 million in portfolios this season compared to 11 last season, for a total of $ 28,598,935. A total of 16 riders exceeded the $ 1 million earnings brand, combining for $ 45,086,467 in wallets.

- Tyler Bacon held his 100th victory in his career.
