A woman was rescued on Thursday morning after fracturing the door of her leg a walk in the Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee.
Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The rescued took a hiker through several miles in the morning of the morning soaked in rain after she broke her leg in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night in a remote area to several miles on the path of the alumin cave in Mount Le Conte, the third highest peak of the Smokies, authorities said.
The woman called at the National Parks service to get help, and sent two EMT certified rangers to help.
However, by stabilizing the woman, the two rangers had to take refuge with the woman during the night in the shelter in the mountain le Conte due to bad weather, according to the Tessee road patrol.

In the first light the next morning, the rescue teams walked about six miles to meet the woman and the park rangers in the shelter, said the THP. From there, the woman was placed on a rescue stretcher and then took to the beginning of the path.
“Go slow here,” says someone in the video of rescuers who carefully bringing the woman baggy and rocky steps.

Then, the woman was transported by ambulance to the Leconte Medical Center in Pigeon Forge for medical care. THP said the woman is now in stable conditions.
