Woman killed after church roof collapses during tornado strike in St. Louis

San Luis – Seven people were killed after a tornado crossed parts of Missouri on Friday night, with five of those deaths from St. Louis alone.

One of those lost lives was a 70 -year -old woman who was a moderator in the Centennial Christian Church, located in the neighborhood of Fountain Park in the northwest of St. Louis, which received a direct blow from the storm.

The tornado crashed into the church, knocked part of his roof and caught the people who took refuge under the rubble. The images of the church after the storm show parts of its completely missing roof and the red brick of its walls cover the front grass.

“It is devastating to listen to someone from the church,” said Maurice Jones, resident of St. Louis, Fox Weather. “We are all trying to put together life at this time.”
