
Canadian University Dubai celebrates Class of Thank You Sheikha Hind at 14th graduation ceremony

May 17, 2025, Dubai, EAU: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has organized its 14th graduation ceremony in the Dubai World Trade Center, celebrating the achievements of the 2025 class and in honor of the national campaign for thanks to Jeikha Hind. The call was held under the sponsorship of its excellence Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence of the EAU, who granted certificates to the 500 graduates.
This year’s class of graduates attracts the name and inspiration of the initiative launched by its highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the EAU and ruler of Dubai, to pay Bint Maktoumu. Alamha ala. The ceremony also recognized the year of the EAU of the community and the leadership of Sheikha Hind in the legislation of the values of social unity, compassion, education and family.
Graduation conferred titles in the five University Management Schools; Engineering, Applied Science and Technology; Interior architecture and design; Communication and creative industries; and Health and Psychology Sciences. Presidents on the ceremony were the University Chancellor and President of the Board of Trustees of the University, Mr. Buti Saeed al Ghandi; President and Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Karim Chelli; Together with other members of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian University of Dubai. The University Maza was carried by the Honorable John Baird, and the event welcomed the distinguished guests, Mr. Charles Falzon, dean of the creative school of the Metropolitan University of Toronto and Dr. Hossam Hassanein, professor and director of the Computer School of the University of Queen’s.

The University Chancellor, Mr. Buti Al Ghandi, expressed his gratitude for his excellence Sheikh Nahyan for his orientation and leadership in excellence in promotion in higher education and spoke about the foundations of the EAU as a catalyst for ambition and progress. Delivering the speech on behalf of the students was the graduate of MBA, Mr. Jummah Buti al Ghandi. He said: “Our titles are not the end, they are the beginning. The graduation ceremony also presented a moving cultural tribute that celebrated its highness Sheikha Hind. In a sincere tribute to his legacy, the event included a special performance of the poem ‘Ya Hind’, Written by the dear poet of the nation, Sheikha Fatima Bint Rashid Bin Saeed al Maktoum. The poem was brought to life in a powerful interpretation of the acclaimed artist Emirarati Hamad al Ameri.
This action echoed the emotional resonance of the 2001 verses for its highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, who wrote ‘Enti mithl ma enti, Ghala el Koun Killo’ – ‘You are, as you are, the most beloved of the universe’ – in admiration of highness. Years later, in 2015, Sheikha Fatima concluded his poem ‘Ya Hind’ With the same line, underlining the timeless affection and reverence by Sheikha Hind.
In recognition of the funny acceptance of his highness to appoint this cohort in his honor, the Canadian University Dubai proudly presented the action as a tribute to its lasting impact, its incarnation of compassion and unity, and its unwavering to empower future generations. The ceremony also presented a special poetic action of a renowned Emirati put Al-Mayidiya Rayana al-Ond, whose verses beautifully captured the spirit of pride, unity and celebration, adding a cultural depth to the occasion.
The CUD awards were also part of the procedure, to recognize the talent and achievements of the Faculty and the University’s support teams in various academic and participation activities.
