The perfect vegan staycation in Bangkok

The perfect vegan staycation in Bangkok

Based in the region, we are lucky to enjoy weekends and frequent stays in Bangkok. Like vegan food lovers, these visits always revolve around where we are going to eat and where it is better to stay to access our favorite vegan restaurants. For us, staying inside and around the Sukhumvit area provides easy access to innumerable vegan and vegan restaurants, and if we want to travel further, a short walk towards the BT simplifies it. However, with so many hotels to choose in the vicinity, we really are to choose from. In our most recent vegan stay in Bangkok, we decided to see two hotels to see what they had to sacrifice. Or of course, both had vegan and vegetable options, so in addition to enjoying our rooms, service and relax by the pool, we were in the city to eat vegan meals.

Stay in four points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15

When choosing to stay in four points by Sheraton Bangkok, he will not only enjoy a modern hotel in the center of Bangkok, but if he tames his stay correctly, he can experience his expansions and the delicious Brunch buffet. We must admit that this was the main reason for our recent trip: when we read on its launch in early 2025, we knew we had to visit sooner rather than later.

The hotel itself is a few steps from BTS ASOK and BTS Nana, which makes it a perfect option for business travelers or those anxious to explore the many restaurants, bars and purchase opportunities in the Sukhumvit area. The hotel has modern and well equipped rooms, a roof pool that offers a respite from the bustling streets of below, and the restaurant, where the vegan buffet of Brunch is notable for guests and not guests alike.

The first vegan and vegetarian Brunch buffet in Bangkok

The second and fourth Saturday of each month, the vegan and vegetarian Brunch buffet in four points of Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15, must be seen as a believer.

Thai curry, salads and soups? Pizzas, Pastas and Lasagna? Curry Indio, Burritos and Sushi? Dumplings, Pastor and Risotto cake? Chicken without cruelty (CFC) made of lion hair fungi? A vegan cheese station made locally? A Live Som Tam station? Wait all this and more.

And that is not to mention the dessert. Exclusive Brownies batteries, a luxurious chocolate cake and cheese cake with salty caramel. Thai desserts with rainbow jellys and, of course, sticky handle rice. Fruits, a source of chocolate, cookies and vegan ice cream with gofres cones and all ingredients.

In our years of vegan travel, we have seen a lot, we have eaten a lot, but nothing prepared us for this. The drunk emotion of choice, to know that people are concerned enough to prepare food like this (with such imagination and vision) was really indulgent, of celebration and inspiring. Needless to say, we have already scheduled our return to enjoy what the chef Par, Chef Pae and his teams have created.

Veganerie, the first 100% vegan bakery in Bangkok

With its first store inaugurated in 2016, the family team behind Veganerie are true trailblazers in the Bangkok vegan food scene. Almost ten years later, and with multiple locations to choose from, no trip to Bangkok is complete for us without at least a visit to Veganie.

We go to his departure Sukhumvit Soi 11, just five minutes on foot from four points from Sheraton Bangkok, and we order the ‘Waffles de Delite Afrutados’ that were really fruit and charming. In addition to its waffles, desserts and bakery options, the extensive menu presents breakfast and brunch, hamburgers and wraps, salads, pasta, curry and soups. Be sure that you will have a lot to choose from in this vegan institution of Bangkok.

Everything you need to plan your trip in 2025

Stay at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok

We also stayed at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit, which is directly in Sukhumvit Road in the heart of the city, adjacent to the bustling intersection of Asoke.

From our arrival at the elegant and spacious lobby on the seventh floor to our luxurious room of ‘Westin Execution King’, we were impressed what this five -star luxury hotel had to sacrifice. Only a short walk from many of our favorite vegan restaurants and the BTS and Mar stations, we loved the location. We also loved the pool on the eighth floor, where we could rest and relax all the food we had planned. It was great that we made to leave the Westin Grande Sukhumvit to find plant -based foods, since each of its restaurants had vegetarian options that could be clearly adapted or tagged by vegan dishes already base of warning plants.

Vegan food The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok

While we stayed at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit, we enjoy the welcome comforts Vegan in our room, which began our stay in such a positive way. We had informed the hotel that we were vegan before arrival, and this information clearly had passed the team’s responses for welcome comforts based on the state of Marriott Bonvoy. Lunch in KSO, the Japanese hotel restaurant, was a pleasure.

Dinner in one of its private rooms, we enjoy a vegetarian Bento box in the lunch menu, which adapted to be vegan, and was exceptional. The tempura was slightly fried and super crunchy, the avocado salad with a creamy sesame dressing was healthy and nutritious, and the Tofu steak with mushrooms was full of Umami. The textures and flavors in our Bento box were combined to offer excellent plant -based gastronomic experience.

Seasonal tastes, the food restaurant throughout the hotel day, presented a section dedicated to plants in the menu to the letter, offering a selection of vegan dishes that include a hamburger based on plants and Thai classics such as Green Curry, Pad Krapow and Thai.

We tried all three and were completely impressed. The Krapow pad, made with Let’s Plant Meat, was rich and tasty, while Pad Thai had a lot of tofu for that additional protein blow.

Vegan sushi, tacos and hamburgers in Golden State Vegan

Only 15 minutes from our ‘house’ at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit is one of our favorite vegan restaurants in Bangkok. Serving a selection of vegan sushi, tacos, hamburgers and small snacks accompanied by cocktails, craft beers and live music on weekends, it is worth visiting Golden State Vegan. Sushi is exceptional, like hamburgers, but our favorite dish to be tacos, specifically, tacos of crispy oyster fungi ‘, which we simply could not leave Bangkok without and rejoice once again.

Mercy Republic, the new child in the block

With the vegan gastronomic scene of Bangkok expanding quickly, always our goal is to visit at least one new Vegan restaurant every time we are in the city. On our last trip, we went to Mercy Republic, which opened towards the end of 2024 and is conveniently located in the Sukhumvit area. This really great restaurant serves ‘vegan food of Thai Fusion Street’ in a backdrop of iconic vegan musicians on the walls and a soundtrack of Hip-Hop and R&B Funky. We loved vibrations, the incredible welcome personnel and, of course, the excellent food. We enjoy a creamy curry, a homemade tofu and ‘croquettes of mercy’ made with mushrooms and potatoes. Our food was dragged with a couple of Heineken 0.0, which makes it the perfect night. There is a lot of passion behind Mercy Republic, and it is a welcome addition to the vegan scene of Bangkok.

Although surveillance without stopping our vegan stay in Bangkok, we have barely scratched the surface of this exciting vegan food scene and in constant expansion. Both points of Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15 and Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, not only offered their own vegan options, but also perfectly located many of our favorite vegan restaurants. Finally, do we mention the vegan buffet of Brunch in four points? Go there as soon as you can, you’ll be disappointed!
