Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Media Outreach Newswire – June 17, 2025 – When trade, take advantage of opportunities and mitigate the risks go hand in hand. Constant success is based on a delicate balance between two elements. To better understand how merchants perceive and address security, both in daily life and in the duration sessions, OTS, a global trusted corridor since 2011, surveyed the participants of the market participants to obtain Intosights about their mentality and behaviors.
In his global survey, Octa focused on exploring the relationship between the daily habits of the merchants and their security mentality. In his investigation, the corridor covered merchants from five countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and Nigeria. Some insightful conclusions are shown below.
1. Transparency: important, but difficult to find
In the first place, respondents were asked if they would prefer to choose a picturesque wild beach or a private lifeguard as a destination for their vacations. The vast majority of participants in all survey countries chose the second most prudent option.
Privacy and safety are especially important for Nigerian merchants: only 7% of them chose a beautiful wild beach, while 93% of trace would prefer to spend their vacations in a life -saving place.
On the other hand, security is much less vital for Indonesians: 72% would prefer a more predictable destination, although less exciting, but as many as 28% do not care about risk if it means obtaining more beauty and emotion.
This strong tendency towards security and predictability reflects a structured strategic mentality, which is absolutely essential for trade. Merchants tend to value transparency, presumable, in everyday life as in commerce. However, a significant part of the participants said they had found hidden rates and commissions by their corridor, which are not mentioned in the terms and conditions of the corridor. For example, up to 38% of Singapore and Malaysia merchants had found such unpleasant experiences in their trips in financial markets.
As a highly experienced runner, Octa is aware of high -value merchants is attached to transparent trade conditions and safety. For this reason, OCTA prioritizes transparency in its operation, acting under the motto “Without hidden tricks, only honest trade”. For example, the corridor sacrifices a rapid and highly efficient retirement procedure whose reliability is backed by multiple online reviews.
2. Structure and chaos: Eternal battle
According to the Octa corridor survey, the vast majority of merchants (between 81% and 92%, depthing in the region) provides that the workplace of their dreams be a well -organized and meticulously clean space emits stability vibrations. Indonesian merchants value the order of value in a workplace: 92% opted for a more organized option, while 8% said they prefer a beautiful, unique but chaotic and less predictable work environment.
As with the previous question, these results show a strong tendency towards predictability and order. Given that, it is surprising that only 35% of Indonesian merchants strictly schedule and plan their negotiation sessions, while 65% begin them when they wish.
Other regions showed more disposition to plan trade sessions. In particular, South African and Nigerian merchants seem the most organized in this regard, since 56% of the survey participants reported to dedicate a specific time of the day to negotiation.
3. Risk management: a not so obvious advantage
The participants of the survey of the five countries responded very similarly when asked if they paid their public services invoices in advance or in the last minute. Between 84% and 87% of respondents declared that they do everything possible to avoid falling into a backwardness and always pay their bills on time. The remaining 13 to 16% could not bother to do so in advance, and to pay the invoices in the last minute despite not having money problems. This shows that most merchants are disciplined people who value planning and strategy in their daily lives.
However, when it comes to commercial sessions, this emphasis on order and punctuality is less pronounced. Only 65-71% of respondents reported that they used detention orders and profit regularly, monitoring their capital level and calculating possible results before taking a position. 29-35% of the survey participants said they use risk management tools only when trying a dangerous trade. They usually trust their commercial intuition to get out of operations on time.
Most merchants value order and opportunity in their daily lives. However, when it comes to operations, many underestimate the importance of programming and proper risks management. As a highly experienced and worldwide corridor, the octa commitments that approach the commercial sessions in the same way that professional athletes address their training. Do not forget that in commerce, as in professional sports, planning and meticulous discipline they travel a long way.
